1-year postdoc position in autophagy and neurodegenerative disease

Dr Nicholas Ktistakis is seeking for a postdoc to assess the value of the currently available screening assays in selecting autophagy and mitophagy targets for neurodegenerative disease in collaboration with Dr John Skidmore (Alzheimer’s UK funded Drug Discovery Institute, University of Cambridge), Dr Alex Whitworth (MRC Mitchondrial Biology Unit, University of Cambridge) and three pharmaceutical companies (Astex, Eisai and Eli-Lilly).

Desired Skills: PhD in Biology or related discipline, experience in tissue culture cells, immunofluorescence light microscopy and siRNA techniques. Desirable will also be some experience with differentiating iPSCs into neuronal lineages.
