Offer details
A newly established international collaborative research project in mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease (ERDYS, endoplasmic reticulum dysfunction in the pathophysiology of synucleopathies) will be initiated at the Department of Biomedicine & DANDRITE at Faculty of Health of the Aarhus University and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at the Radboud University.
The ERDYS collaborative project focuses on the pathophysiology of alpha-synuclein aggregation in axons and nerve terminals and its role in neuronal dysfunctions and the progression of Parkinson’s disease in neuronal and in vivo models. Partners of the project are Professors Poul Henning Jensen and Fulvio Reggiori at Department of Biomedicine & DANDRITE, and the Associate Professor Marijn Kuijpers at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at Radboud University, The Netherlands. ERDYS will also have several collaborators including Associate Professor Muriel Mari, which will be in charge of the ultrastructural analyses.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates for two postdoc and one technician positions.
