Travel Grant
The CFATG wishes to award grants throughout the year (contribution to travel/accommodation and registration fees) for doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers wishing to present their work on autophagy at conferences.
In order to promote the dynamics of research on autophagy, the conference does not have to be centered around autophagy.
The request must be made before the dates of the congress.
- at least one month after the application deadline if the conference is held in Europe (i.e., from the end of October onward)
- at least three months after the application deadline if the conference is held outside Europe (i.e., from the end of December onward)
Eligibility critaeria:
The application must include:
- to be a member of the CFATG (up to date with its annual contribution)
- present their work on autophagy in the form of an oral presentation and/or a poster
- include the CFATG logo on their poster or oral presentation
- submit, following the conference, a short feedback report that may be featured on CFATG’s communication channels (website and social media)
Applicants who have already received a CFATG travel grant remain eligible but will not be given priority when applications are reviewed.
Application file:
- a curriculum vitae (CV)
- a cover letter
- a budget estimate of the costs related to attending the conference
- a link to the conference website along with its program
- a copy of the abstract submitted, or intended to be submitted, to the conference
Application deadline:
The deadline for submitting applications is September 30, 2026.
In case of cancellation:
If the recipient is unable to attend the conference, they are asked to inform the CFATG as soon as possible. The grant amount may then be reallocated or returned to the CFATG.
