We are delighted to announce that Dr. Julie Lucas is the recipient of the 2026 Beth Levine Thesis Award!

Her PhD work, carried out within the “Lymphocyte Homeostasis and Autoimmunity” team (INSERM UMR_S 1109, Strasbourg), explored the role of autophagy-related proteins in B cell receptor trafficking. Her research provided original insights into the interplay between ATGs, membrane trafficking, and humoral immune responses in a highly relevant immunological context.
During her PhD, Julie stood out for the quality of her scientific presentations. She was awarded the Best Poster Presentation prize at CFATG11 in 2023, highlighting both the impact and clarity of her work. She also presented her research at several national and international conferences. Alongside her research, she was actively involved in teaching at the University of Strasbourg and in science outreach activities, demonstrating a strong commitment to knowledge sharing.

Congratulations to Julie on this outstanding achievement and well-deserved recognition!
